A truly amazing and fabulous early hostess gown that is perhaps one of the best I have ever had. It has the most unique and fabulous sleeves I have ever seen on a dress from this time period. They are complete and perfect circles - two circles on each arm attached around their circumference with blue piping sot that they pouf out when worn. I photoed them flat so you can see how wonderful they are! The rest of the gown is equally as fabulous. It flows to the ground and is constructed of a crisp, early cotton that has a stunning floral print screened onto it. The combination of red, white and blue is as classic as you can ask for. It wraps to close and can be worn done up the collar or open, The accompanying sash is a blue cotton and can be wrapped obi style or as a ling tie belt. It is wonderful! Museum quality, seemingly unworn condition.
